How to Manually Trigger or Place a Subscription Order in Shopify #

If you need to manually place a recurring order for a customer, the Easy Subscription app for Shopify gives you full control over the process. You can trigger a subscription order manually without waiting for the scheduled billing date — useful for exceptions, testing, or on-demand fulfilment.
Step 1: Access the Subscription Contract
- Go to your Shopify Admin.
- Navigate to: Apps → Easy Subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Click on the subscription contract you want to manually process.
Step 2: Locate the “Next Order” Section
On the subscription details page:
- Scroll down to the Next Order section.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the upcoming scheduled order (e.g., July 1, 2025).
Step 3: Trigger the Order Manually
- From the dropdown menu, select Place order.
- This will manually trigger the subscription order to be processed immediately.
Step 4: Confirm the Order Was Placed
- Refresh the page after a few seconds.
- The order will now appear in the Order History section with the new timestamp and status.
