Introduction #
The Place Manual Order action allows a merchant to immediately create an order for an existing subscription.This action does not modify the subscription schedule, products, or billing configuration.
It is used when an order needs to be processed manually without changing future subscription behavior.
Why It Matters #
Placing a manual order helps merchants handle exceptions such as missed orders or special fulfillment requests.
It ensures continuity without altering the subscription contract or upcoming order dates.
How to Place a Manual Order #
Step 1: Access the Subscription List #

Log in to the Shopify admin portal

Open the Easy Subscription app

Click Subscriptions to view all active subscriptions and orders
Step 2: Open the Subscription Order #

Select the subscription for which the manual order is required

Open the order details page
Step 3: Place the Manual Order #

Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the order page

Select Place Order
-
Confirm the action to generate the order immediately
The order is created without changing any subscription settings.
Notes #

This action does not affect upcoming orders or billing cycles

The subscription continues as originally scheduled
