Setting Up the Minimum Number of Subscriptions Before Cancellation #
Merchants can enforce a minimum commitment before a customer is allowed to cancel their subscription. This feature helps reduce early churn, ensures a return on acquisition costs, and promotes long-term subscription value.

Step-by-Step Instructions #
Step 1: Access the Easy Subscriptions App #

From your Shopify Admin Dashboard, click on the Apps section.

Search for and open the Easy Subscriptions app.
Step 2: Go to Settings #

Inside the Easy Subscriptions app, navigate to the sidebar or top menu.

Click on Settings to view your configuration options.

Step 3: Locate the Customer Portal Options #

In the Settings section, scroll to or search for Customer Portal Options.

This section controls what customers can access from their Subscription Dashboard.
Step 4: Enable Subscription Cancellation #

Find the Subscription Cancellation toggle within the Customer Portal section.

Turn the toggle On to allow customers to cancel their subscriptions directly from their dashboard.
Step 5: Set Minimum Subscription Requirements #
Once the cancellation feature is enabled:

You’ll see fields appear to define restrictions:

Minimum Number of Orders: Specify how many completed orders must be placed before cancellation is allowed.

Minimum Number of Days: Set a required number of days before a customer can cancel.

You can use either or both fields depending on your business preference.
Step 6: Save Your Changes #
Click the Save button at the bottom of the settings page to apply your configuration.
That’s It! #
Your minimum subscription commitment policy is now active. Customers attempting to cancel before meeting the requirement will see a message explaining the restriction.
