This migration process helps you migrate your Braintree subscriptions to Shopify using the Easy Subscriptions app. If you’re using Braintree as the payment gateway for recurring billing, follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and compatible setup. Shopify supports Braintree as a legacy payment gateway, and setup can differ for sandbox and live environments.
Step-by-Step Migration Guide
Step 1: Check Braintree Payment Gateway Configuration
– Ensure Braintree is connected as your store’s primary or legacy gateway for subscriptions.
– If Shopify Payments is your primary gateway, Braintree must be connected as the legacy Braintree Shopify integration.
– Use the following links, replacing {shop} with your Shopify store name:

• Sandbox mode: https://admin.shopify.com/store/{shop}/payments/legacy_subscription_braintree?sandbox=true
Step 2: Access the Easy Subscriptions App
– Log in to your Shopify admin.
– Navigate to Apps > Easy Subscriptions.
Step 3: Navigate to Settings
– Inside the Easy Subscriptions app, click on Settings.
– Locate the Import Subscription section.
Step 4: Download the Sample CSV Template
– Click “Download” to get the sample file for Shopify Braintree CSV migration.
– This template defines the correct format required for import.
